Q u o t e:
I want the day of playtime that I've paid for credited. This isn't the normal 6 hours I know about in advance, it's 24 hours and the only warning I was given was when I went to login today.
You are correct, Wadeal, this is outside the normal maintenance period, though it is not unheard of to have extended maintenance for a particular realm or set of realms when necessary. Please remember that your subscription pays for access to the account, not necessarily for access to a specific realm or character.
That isn't to say that we don't understand the frustration that may be caused for those who play exclusively on an affected realm. The truth of the matter is though, Wadeal, this is not something that falls into the jurisdiction of the Game Master department and therefore we do not know if credit will be given to those affected by the extended downtime.
As my colleague, Aredek stated earlier.
Q u o t e:
Compensation for extended down time is considered by a number of different parties outside of the Customer Service department, and this is not a discussion that we--the Representatives of the Customer Service forum--will be participating in. If you believe game time reimbursement should be provided, I encourage you to share your suggestion on the Suggestions Forum to ensure that all appropriate parties are able to see your request.
Our Billing department will gladly take your call; however, I am unable to guarantee that they will be able to provide you with the requested compensation. Should compensation be provided, it will be noted on the following page:

Folks, please have some sympathy for those who will be affected by the upcoming extended downtime.
