Q u o t e:
<removed>
I was pointed to this site by an in game e-mial that said it came from Blizzard.
They offered to enter me into Cataclysm beta testing.
DO NOT GO TO THEIR SITE IT IS A SCAM!!!
They compromised my account!
Now my logon requires an authenticator code which I have never setup.
Now I can't get into my account!
Be careful!
Yes, yes - that would be a scam. We will NEVER send you to a website like that. We'll also ALWAYS have a blue Blizzard logo by our name if we ever message you ingame or send you an ingame email.
Please go over the security bits in the information I'm posting below very carefully. If you had to sign-in to that site, that's likely how they got your information, but those types of sites are also usually malware infected. You'll want to make sure your system and email are secure.
After you know your system is clean, please check your email for a new password and see if you can get ingame. If there have been damages, you'll want to report that as quickly as possible.
-----------------
If an account has been merged to a Battle.net, or if an email has been changed, or an authenticator added to the account (not the player's own) one of your first stops is going to be Billing. They need to get those sorted out first so the rest of the processes can continue.

Now, it's very very important to figure out where the security breach occurred. If they CAN get back in, they WILL be back. That, unfortunately, you can count on.
These two stickies should prove helpful.

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=14318909866&sid=1 You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.
