Refer a Friend Mount, Cant get right away??

I did refer a friend, we upgraded the account and used a 60 day game card.

But in the linked section it still still says friend only has signed up for free trial.

Is there a lag to get the mount/free month?

Once the upgrade processes fully, Gravez, you should be credited with the 30 days of game time. You should also be able to redeem the mount by visiting the Recruit a Friend section through your Account Management page.

Just click on My Rewards and you'll be able to select the character that you want the mount to go to. :) If, after the trial restrictions have lifted you are still unable to receive the mount please let us know and we'll look into it further.
