Account Compromise and Cata Beta Question

Alrighty, so my account was compromised and shortly thereafter suspended for 72 hours for "Exploitative Activity".

I've initiated the appropriate measures for that, but my question is related to a different matter - the Cataclysm Beta opt-in that will (probably) be starting shortly.

I would assume that accounts that are getting suspensions probably aren't on the list to be chosen for the Beta. As my suspension was the result of being hacked... is there any way to have that suspension kind of wiped from ones account record, so it won't affect things like beta invitations?

I've really been hoping for a Cataclysm beta invite once it starts, and would really hate for this account compromise to end up screwing me out of the beta as well as all the grief it's already caused. :(

Thanks for any answers!

If you get this promptly reported, hopefully - that won't come into play here.

If you are talking about the 'in good standing' portion, that usually means not suspended locked or banned at the time.

Restorations can take awhile at the moment, but regaining access and dealing with any repercussions of what they did is usually a bit quicker.

What is vital at this point is finding the point of entry - how did they get your information? If that isn't identified the chances of this recurring are VERY high.

I'll post fuller instructions below that most compromised players are going to need at least parts of.

-----------------------

If an account has been merged to a Battle.net, or if an email has been changed, or an authenticator added to the account (not the player's own) one of your first stops is going to be Billing. They need to get those sorted out first so the rest of the processes can continue.

Phone Support - 1 (800) 59-BLIZZ (1 (800) 592 5499)
Live Representatives Available 7 days a week, 7am to 8pm Pacific Time

Players in Singapore should call 800-2549-9273
Players in Chile should call 1230-020-5554
Players in Mexico should call 001-888-578-7628
Players in Argentina should call 0800-333-0778
All other international players should call: (949) 955-0283

Now, it's very very important to figure out where the security breach occurred. If they CAN get back in, they WILL be back. That, unfortunately, you can count on.

These two stickies should prove helpful.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.
