Transfer question while restoration is qued

Recently one of my 2 accounts was compromised, I've come to the conclusion it happened for 1 of 2 reasons.

1. I use the same usernames and PW for just about everything.... my bad. I've recently changed all of my passwords and usernames for everything.

2. Work computers have wide open internet access and have quite a few people who browse at any given point. While at work i like to get on the forums and to do so i need to sign in to post. My guess is at some point a key-logger was put onto that computer by someone through irresponsible browsing.

I called Blizzard and had the compromised account moved to the battle.net sign in of the account that is still safe and ordered an authenticator. It should arrive in 10-15 business days. I will no longer be browsing forums at work. The representative at blizzard that i talked to initiated an item recovery for the characters that had been stripped. My question was, could i transfer one of my characters from the once compromised account, to this one while a restoration is in queue? Will that affect me getting items back for said character? Or would it be better to just wait until the restoration is complete.

Also i know for certain that the items on the account as of 06/02/10 are the items i had before anything was compromised and this date would be an ideal date to rollback to. I understand this process takes a while and i am in no hurry nor do i want to seem as if i am trying to rush you. I'm simply wanting to provide as much information as i can to make this process simpler for both of us.

If i could get a blue post in reference to the transfer question, i would greatly appreciate it. Or if anyone here would happen to know and could give me input i would welcome that as well

P.S all my horde characters are fine, (my horde priest is half naked because i moved her boa gear to my alliance priest while i leveled her) The only characters that need restoration are my 3 level 80 alliance toons

-Thank you for your help

Restorations are generally done by realm. We usually look to see which realms were accessed and then look at the individual characters on the account for that realm.

It is important to note that even if a character is not affected by the compromise it may have been accessed during the compromise. Figuring out what happened is part of the process. :)

Good luck, Hugspec. :)
