RAF Account Upgrade - how long does it take?

I just upgraded an account my friend refer'd me for so we could do RAF and the status is set to pending. In general, how long does it take for the upgrade to finish pending?

Though leveling restrictions will lift immediately, Mokou, some of the other trial restrictions will remain until the purchase is fully processed. This can take up to 72 hours.

Any pending mail that the newly upgraded account will be retrievable once fully upgraded.
