Q u o t e:
Logs go back 2-3 months. If it's been any longer than that, GMs cannot recover any lost gear.
That depends, actually. That's not a bad general guideline, but it isn't quite so hard and fast.
Q u o t e:
The thing I'm worried about is, does the 30 day inbox timer apply to items being sent by an in game support, or do they save the information and wait for a request when I'm back in game again?
Also, keep in mind it has been months since I've played so I can't even recall a lot of what is missing. So I won't be much help to customer service telling them what is gone (including offspec set not shown on armory, which was also probably vendored).
Emails sent from Blizzard Entertainment actually persist for 90 days un-opened, then 30 days after they are opened. I'm afraid that they'll be unavailable past that point.
Q u o t e:
is it possible for a GM to recover gear lost that way after months?
It's possible. I should point out that elapsed time plays a very significant role in whether restoration is possible, but we might be able to lend a hand. Failing that, we might still be able to help you get back on your feet and playing.
Either way, this would be a very good time to read through our sticky on compromise scenarios, and read the articles within thoroughly. They'll walk you through the recovery process and provide valuable advice on how you can secure your system to prevent something like this from occurring again in the future:

Good luck, Ieyfura! I hope our staff are able to lend a hand.
