edited May 28 **Blizzard sorted this out today, they have cleared it all :) thank you Blizzard!**
My son's account was hacked in the past 24 hours; Blizzard's office hours are 7am to 8pm PDT, so naturally hackers do their business between 8pm and 7am PDT and there is no way of putting an early stop to the hackers illicit business!
To top it off the hackers proceeded to associate his account with a blizzard authenticator! The result been that he cannot access his account management or even post on the forums.
We have tried to contact Blizzard all day today, they (the call center) is too busy to take the call and when they did they said it's a 45 minute wait. After waiting for 27 minutes the call center kicked us off and advised us to send an e-mail. Needless to say we have had no response to the e-mail and have not been able to get into that 45 minute or more queue again.

This is not customer service! It is appalling how Blizzard is dealing with the hacking issue, they use the same call center for hacking as they do for all the other non-critical account management issues. Its a small wonder that players are looking for alternative MMORPG games!

If there is any Blizzard representative who can help......maybe someone actually cares.....

So the waiting continues......

I'm looking at the account you are posting under, Moriane - but I'm not seeing any information connecting this.

I'd need to at least know a character/realm on the account in question to try to look into this further.

Thank you for the reply :D

His main is Trycider and he has many other 80's on it and other alts, mainly on the Lightninghoof realm.

Well, let me see if I can shed just a bit of light.

An email was received and an investigation started on this - the authenticator was removed.

Now, if they changed the email - you will likely still need to call Billing on that. That would be necessary to get password changes, etc., which will be done as part of the compromise. You can have him try to change it back in Account Management, but that may not be available to him.

I realize it can be a bit challenging to get through to Billing at the moment, but the best way is to keep dialing until you get into queue. It's recommend a landline vs. cell phone be used as cell phones sometimes have a habit of dropping calls when they are in a holding queue.

You might also want to check into a program such as Skype, many of our players have reported good results with that.

I do hope this helps a bit.
