Recruit a friend help

I want to know if I can recruit a friend who has a inactive account he made about 6 months ago. He only played for about a week but wants to start playing now and we want to do the extra xp and level bonuses. If this is possible what would i do? thanks

As Tengianna noted, only new accounts can be recruited through the Recruit-A-Friend program. As a result, I'm afraid you will be unable to recruit your friend's inactive account. =/

You could always recruit him a second account, though! Or perhaps invest in a Scroll of Resurrection (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/20592)?
