So many bugs on the PTR...why?

I'm just curious as to why so many bugs always show up on the first release of a PTR. Do you guys play the PTR at all before releasing it? If I was a devloper, I could have played the PTR for an hour and caught about 50 bugs. I also don't understand why things are broken that have been in the game from day 1. I would think that the coding for certain situations in games would be stable. For instance, shields are messed up on the PTR...why in the world would that get messed up (that is just one example, there are many more instances), and if there was any testing done at all, it would have been an easy catch.

I love it, you all left me with nothing more to say on the matter. :)

Q u o t e:

I don't think you're understanding the answers.

Code is interdependent. So when someone changes something in one thing, unexpected results pop up elsewhere.

Which is why, after every patch, Onyxia deep breathes more...

Onyxia using deep breath more often is actually a different problem. It's one of perception. With the exception of one patch, it never actually changed, though it was certainly thought to due to the randomness of the deep breath ability and how deep breath actually works. It's normal for players to notice patterns in randomness, and after a patch it's an epidemic.

Your main point is very true, however.
