Dev question about Ritual of Refreshment

In the lastest patch notes from the PTR it lists the Ritual of Refreshment requiring 2 arcane powder.

I want to know why a mage should be obligated to spend gold so that others dont have to.

Why should a mage spend their money and their bag space to carry around a metric ton of arcane powders to produce water and food when people could very well buy it themselves.

Dont get me wrong i spend tons of gold etc on potions and powders for Arc Briliance, and so do other classes. But as it stands now it does not cost me money to make food and water, and it wont after this spell is put into the game either if i wish to not use it, but people will want it.

So in all honesty thanks for nothing.

It is a spell that will save a lot of time in conjuring food/water and it’s one slot to cover both water and food which is an upgrade. With how powerful this is it will only need to be a cast a couple times a night too.
