Ironforge Airfield

On Earthen Ring [a roleplay server] we were discussing using the Ironforge Airfield for a roleplay venue. During the discussion two people swore that use of this area was a bannable offense, that it was an exploit.

If Blizzard does not want us there we will restructure. There are Flying Machines elsewhere [Gnomeregan, Wildhammer Keep...] and since it is roleplay... they are pretty much wherever we say they are.

However I wanted to check this because both people used the word "exploit" to justify the restriction. I am not understanding how the use of this area gives me -any- advantage, fair or unfair, over another player.

Clarification please?

It is an exploit because you have to use special measures by taking advantage of certain terrain/pathing areas (i.e. exploiting).

Bottom line is, players are not meant to get to those places. If we were, then it would be exceedingly easy to get there without having to use any special tricks or techniques to do so.

Do not use the airfield. It WILL get you actioned.

Well said. <3

Heading into an area that is not open will most likely not result in an instant closure of your account, though it is highly recommended that you do not enter such areas as it will most likely result in a penalty if you are caught.

And we tend to show up where you least expect us. :)

Yep, let's try not to dredge up months-old threads, folks. Thanks. :)
