RAF Grant a Level Problems

My friend recently recruited me and we became linked. I am level 18 and he is 11. He teleported me to him. I added him to my group and then right clicked him. The option was there to grant him a level but it was grayed out. Anyone know what to do. Thanks in advance.

Ryld is absolutely correct. In order to gain a "grantable" level, a recruit character must gain two normal levels while linked under the Recruit-A-Friend program. It appears that your account and your friend's account weren't linked until after you reached level 18, Xavisotough. As a result, your character (Xavisotough) does not currently have any levels to grant.

As you start gaining levels on your druid, though, you'll start earning more and more "grantable" levels to share. On the flip side, you and your veteran can start new level 1 characters together and level up together that way. :)

Q u o t e:
Is it possible for Blizzard just to grant them. It would make my life so much easier and I would be very appreciative. Thanks for the suggestion.

This is not a service we provide, Xavisotough. Technically, your account was not created through the Recruit-A-Friend program, and so was originally ineligible for any in-game benefits (including level granting). We, as a courtesy, linked your account with your friend's when we found out that a mistake occurred. By doing this, you and your friend can now earn those in-game benefits—and, similarly, your friend can now qualify for his subscription rewards. We will be unable to restore any retroactive benefits, though.

With that said, as both I and Ryld noted previously, if you and your friend create new, level 1 characters together, you will be able to level up with triple experience. This process, from 1 to 18, should go by very, very quickly and you'll be gaining "grantable" levels to share later on. :)

You're welcome, Xavisotough. :)

If you or your friend have any further questions or concerns, just let me know, alright? I'm happy to help in any way that I'm able.
