How is blizzard feeling about all of the alpha footage of cataclysm floating around the web, personally it took like 3 seconds on youtube to see cataclysm videos being suggested to me for me watching other WoW videos. It looks like every new zone has been completely revealed already.
Are you guys meeting with youtube to have these videos stopped before releasing them? I figured they would be eliminated when they are "processed".
Plus there are already cataclysm private servers out being spammed. The fact that there is so much stuff on the web and being used by unintended players is it going to slow the progression of cataclysm development?
Another random question. How do you guys plan to compete with the next gen MMO's like guild wars 2 and tera? I know blizzard talks about enhancing the graphics every expansion or so, but the game was already a couple years behind as far as graphics goes when it was released. Now when I run around stormwind with full graphics it hurts my eyes with the nintendo ds graphics :P. I see the new graphics in the expansion, and all i really see is farther distances, new water, and more plants drawn onto the ground. Is there any other efforts to improve the graphic quality of the game? I completely think that gameplay is more important than graphics, but when im getting 20-30fps on a game that looks like it should be played off an N-64 Cartrige on a top end computer it kinda makes me think. I havent been lost in the WoW world since it first came out, and there have been things added that kept my attention, but the world is just getting so bland. Even with the new textures replacing the old it doesnt seem like enough, do you have any information on if there will be deisgning engine improvements that you guys are working on or using that isnt in these leaked videos?
