I lost everything.

I never got to a single site.

I had three toons above 5900 gs. I wake up this morning, and I saw that all their gear was gone. Why, << removed >> hackers, why ? You already had over 35 k from my 10 characters, you also needed to steal 100 gold by vendoring my gear ?

Short of this, this is over. I'm not refarming this gear. I hope you had fun, << removed >> worms.

I'm very sorry to hear that your account has been compromised, Sashiel. I know you must be incredibly frustrated right now, perhaps even a bit confused.

I would like to assure you, though, that our Account Services and In-Game Support teams will be very happy to help you with the recovery process. In fact, we created a guide that will walk you step-by-step through everything you need to do:

Securing your computer, securing your account information, reporting any losses, and prepping for the restoration process—all of this is included. I sincerely encourage you to give this guide a read and follow the instructions provided within.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I'm happy to provide any additional assistance you might need. :)

I didn't see your second thread, Sashiel. Sorry about that!

Now, to answer your four (well, five) questions:

Q u o t e:
I submitted my petition. now I'm waiting

1)I was told that the delay is very variable. Actually, I don't mind to wait for a week-that would make a WOW-break (even if I had a critical run scheduled for monday) but is there any way to check how my petition progress ?

2)I had unfortunately like 35 k gold (was preparing for Cata). Will I get it back, or will I lose it ? (Note, I could afford to lose the gold, however)

3)Will I get my gear back ? This point worry me a lot, because I spent an obscene amount of DKP to get a heroic wand around ten minutes before logging

4) Suppose I type at random a password each day, and change it each day. Would this protect me from keylogging attempts ?

Finally, a question. TBH, with the economic crisis, I'm not exactly overloaded with work (I'm a contract worker without any social life), and I'm between two chairs study wise, so I kinda played WOW a LOT over the past months : lots like sometimes five-six hours per day. Will this mark me as a potential gold farmer ?

1) At this time, there is no way for a player to track their petition in our main queue. Right now, however, the average wait time for petitions is 2 days, and the average wait time for a full account restoration is about 6 days after that. We're frequently able to reduce the queues temporarily, though, so (depending) your wait time may be shorter.

2 & 3) Our In-Game Support team will work to recoup all that they can. This includes items, characters, and currency. No restoration is guaranteed, however. If we are unable to verify that you owned a specific sum of gold or item (and/or, following, that the sum of gold or item was lost due to malicious activity), we may not be in position to assist.

4) If your computer system is installed with malware? No. While password security is important, it's only one element of overall account security. If you want to get into the nitty-gritty, I'd recommend reading through this guide:

Secret question 5) I don't believe it should.

Q u o t e:
How do I know how my restore request is going ? I saw a ingame message from a GM three hours ago, saying they would investigate. is there anway to check this ?

Easiest way is for me to tell you: Your account is in queue for investigation/restoration following an account compromise. I'm afraid there's no other means by which you may check this information for yourself.

As Pennah noted in your other thread, though, you will receive an email from our support staff once your restoration is complete.

Also, to note: You do not need to create a new thread if you have a new question. We can handle those all in this thread. :)
