Thinking about getting a authenticator.

So there is the Mobile one and the regular key chain. The problem with the mobile one is that I could lose my phone and be %@%@ed for 3 weeks getting info faxed over to Blizzard and such. The key chain could also get lost or break as well. Anyone have some stories to brighten or dim my decision on this?

I use the physical authenticator just because it seems like it takes less time than it does to unlock my phone and launch an app... ? It's become habit to leave my keys at my computer desk ready to be used (if they're not in my pocket). So it's one button press away. If I think "I'm going to play WoW" the first thing I do is make sure I have my keys. It's instinctual at this point.

But if it's taking any time at all to decide, protect your account right now with the mobile authenticator. It's free. Then think about getting the physical one.

So Bashiok, does blizzard promote the usage of the phone app?
considering its free?

Of course. Account security is the goal.

I use the mobile authenticator myself and haven't had any issues with it at all. I always have my phone with me anyway and haven't had any issues with it taking too long to open and use.
