Kill exchanging: is it legal?

in another thread, someone was concerned about gaining halaa tokens at level 80 so he could get a talbuk mount. the problem is, there arent really any 80's at all in halaa, ever. someone suggested forming a group on both factions and exchanging kills. a few agreed this is the way it works, others said it was against the rules. i searched for a blue post concerning kill exchanges in world pvp, but didnt find anything.

can someone link a blue post, or could a blue be kind enough to give us a straight answer?

PvP isn't "you stand there and I'll kill you, and then I'll stand here and you'll kill me."

That's kill swapping and isn't allowed.

A number of realms have reported success with organizing Halaa meetings between factions on a certain date and time. Lots of people get tokens, people PvP according to the rules, and there are no issues.

Correct, and doing something like that is well within the rules. Exchanging kills just to obtain tokens, on the other hand, is considered cross faction collusion and can represent a violation of our policies.

I hope that helps clear things up a bit?

Blizz doesn't care if you decide to challenge yourself by fighting the Horde in creative ways.

Except that simply isn't correct. If this kind of thing is reported, it could lead to account action. Naturally a measure of interpretation enters into the issue.

I may not agree with this but at least it's in writing by a blue.
Thanks, Malk.

Fair enough. I'm going to lock this thread though, since there's been a measure of hostility I'd prefer not to perpetuate.
