Flagged for rename during transfer...

Title says it all.

I just server & faction transferred this toon today, and when I tried to pick my same name, it asked me to make a new name since this name has "Been Flagged for Rename."

Now I know no one else possesses the name since I've been saving it on a level 1 alt. When I transferred one of my important alts earlier this week, it did the same thing and I was completely unable to proceed until I picked a different name.

I can live with a new name for my alt, but my main's name has been the same for a long time, and after paying for both a server & faction transfer, I'm not paying again just to get a name that is already mine.

Some info on why the system is reacting this way would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone at all have any input on this? Sat on the phone waiting for tech support for 45 minutes with no answer today. Would love to get a resolution to this issue.

Technical Support wouldn't be the best contact point, Quackie, unless you need troubleshooting advice on patching or updating your drivers. :)

It is important to complete each transaction by logging the character into the realm before initiating the next. Sorry for the confusion.

Can you give me the current names of the characters you are referring to and what each of them should be named? I'll see what I can do.

Let me know if you'd like me to log on and delete the level 1.

That would actually help a great deal, Quackie, let me know when you have done so and I'll take care of the rest.

Done. :D

and Done. :)

Anyone who has you on their friends list or Guild roster will need to log out and back for the change to take affect but otherwise you should be good to go.
