Problem With Cata Totem of Wrath Change?

Ok. It's been established. Ele Shamans sacrifice too much personal DPS to drop Totem of Wrath. Also, the static spell power increase does not scale with gear. These problems are going to be fixed in Cata.

GC has stated that the new Fire Totems will be now be able to simultaneously provide the SP buff, while also doing DPS. Players will be able to summon these new and improved fire totems at the FEET of bosses and enemies. The thing is, the spell power buff is still going to radiate from the fire totem. Thus, most of caster dps will be out of range of the totem, and the melee will be receiving the SP buff.

It is 100 yards. The new implementation isn't a totem, but an effect that radiates from an existing totem.

They are both 10% of the target's spellpower (not the shaman or warlock's). We want Demonology and Elemental (and everyone) to be brought because they have good raid synergy and meaningful dps and because the person behind the keyboard is a good contributor. Nobody should get brought because they have the mandatory buff that you can't live without.
