I was hacked an hour ago. I logged into my account and a authenticator was added to it. I know how it happened also, i will explain.

A guy was selling a spectral tiger for 3k gold. I thought i was getting a major deal so i agreed. He gave me the code and the website and i went to the website and put the code in. the website looked identical to the tgc loot cards page. IDENTICAL. after i put in my info, everything was gone. i was kicked off and an authenticator was added. can you help me please.

They can run - they can't hide.

Please do follow-up with the standard restoration procedures on this - place an ingame petition, etc.

And guys - these are almost ALWAYS scams....always.

I learned my lesson. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your help. Thank you sooo much for your quick service. Really...Thanks.... I will follow up ingame and see if I can get my gold back.

By the way - just a word of warning - if you get any account actions over the next few days - those can be dealt with as well. They were using your account to do exactly what was done to you.

That's the way this type of scammer works, they daisy-chain accounts.

May nothing come of it, but if it does - know it can be addressed.

When I logged on 2 or 3 people messaged me cursing me out. I explained to them what happened to me and they appologiezed as did I.

I'd also work on scans - that site more than likely at least attempted to load malware onto your system.

I have symantic, and i just downloaded AVG and spybot search and destroy. finding nothing yet.

The reason I mention that - is not only is that a common practice for these guys - one of the ones he tried to scam using your account mentioned that warnings had fired off when he accessed the site he was sent to.

how can i be 100% total safe?

AVG / Spybot search and destroy / symantic are all good programs i think? they say im clean so far

If a machine is connected to the Internet - you will never be 100% safe. 99.99% perhaps, but never totally.

Also, if you have proper safeguards on your webbrowser, you won't be as prone to picking up some infections in the first place. It's possible that it tried....and failed.

I'd look over the sticky post at the top of this forum about system security - many great tips in there.

An authenticator will also go a LONG way to adding that extra layer of security for you.
