A used character name.

There's a name that I really had my heart set on for a paid name change, sadly it's been taken already. The name is taken by a level 14 paladin, which (according to the armory) has probably been inactive for quite some time.

I'm hoping there is a way to get the name unlocked. I know it wouldn't be fair to snatch someone's character name just because they haven't used it in a few months, but is it a possibility if the account itself has been offline for a long time?

I could always just use the letters with little slashes and whatnot over them, but they annoy me just as much as the next guy, and I'd prefer not to have to resort to that.

P.S. If I do have a shot at getting this name unlocked, how should I go about doing so?

If it is possible to acquire the name, Aghrem, you'll want to submit an in-game petition with the request. In some cases we may be able to help, one of our Game Masters will let you know for certain.

Please note that queue times are rather high at the moment so make sure you keep your petition open.
