Hmm. The debit card is the one I use all the time, for online purchases, groceries, gas, etc. Plenty of cash in the account. Can't understand why it's not accepted.
I try a different debit card. Same error. Tried a total of six different cards, with three different banks, on four different browsers on two different computers. Same message.
Emailed billing support. No response. Dialed the billing customer service number. All representatives are busy. Dialed again, and again, and again, throughout the day. Finally got through - only to be put on hold for an hour.
Finally got a rep, gave him my credit card info, got the upgrade to the full version. Great! While he was on the line, I added autopay, using the same debit card, through the web site. It worked! Excellent.
A couple hours later, after talking to a friend and realizing she wanted us to play as a Blood Elfs, I decided to get the Burning Crusade upgrade. Logged in, entered my debit card info again (the web site actually remembered some of the info) and ... AUGH! Same error as above!
Tried SIX different debit cards from FOUR different banks, two different computers, four different browsers. Even logged on through a VPN so I'd have a different IP address. Nothing. Still get the same error.
What the heck is going on???
Has anyone else had this problem? Any idea of the solution?
Adrialis
PS. I'm on the phone again, been waiting almost an hour again to talk to a person.
If this is the way Blizzard treats people who are trying to GIVE them money, what can I expect when I want them to fix something else?
