Hacking getting rediculous!

Hello everyone,

Very recently I have noticed a fast incline in the amount of people getting hacked. Normally I would think nothing of this, but a few nights ago I was being hacked. Luckily, I was online at the time, and was able to change my information fast enough. This is getting absolutely rediculous. I have been completely safe with my information. I bought an authenticator, but only because I felt that I HAD to in order to keep my account safe. That shouldn't be how it is. It should be a precaution, not a requirement to buy an authenticator. I can't trust the support given in the game to protect my account. This is outrageous. This issue needs to be focused on RIGHT NOW, before it gets even further out of control. Blizzard, it is yor job to keep our information safe. There is obviously a crack in the security.

I just wanted to jump in and thank everyone for keeping this discussion civil. You are welcome to continue it as long as the tone remains as it has.

Q u o t e:
ok i gotta say this i was hacked im probabaly at fault i wont deny that but i wont acknowledge it either seeing how i cant find how exactly it happend. anyway here is my thing i was hacked with an authenticator. whats the sence of having one when someone else has one all then need is to get my info and boom they are in.

Nothing about this statement is correct.

To add an authenticator they have your information already - at that point you are ALREADY compromised.

Each unit is unique with a serial code. Even if they had your serial code - that works with an algorithm to produce a unique number at the time you log in.

It's is absolutely imperative you find the source of this or the chances they'll get in yet again are VERY high.
