Guild vault Items removed by GM

Who do we contact about a GM removing items from our guild bank?

My guild had been hacked several weeks ago. Most items had been restored. We were in process of getting others restored. This process, involved hours of telephone calls and multiple tickets.

Yesterday, according to my guild leader, a GM took many items from our guild vault, incorrectly saying that they were not ours. Some of the items had recently been deposited by various guild members. Many were items that the guild had been storing for months. It is simply difficult to comprehend that a GM would be given the ability to hack guild vaults.

Please refer me to the appropriate individuals (supervisors or managers).

My apologies if this is not the correct forum.

I'm just gonna /popcorn, and wait for Vrak to come in.

You know this is gonna be good.

Perhaps not as good as you may think. :) Granted there is a good deal of misinformation based on some wild guesses as to what actually happened which has confused the matter.

From what I've been able to find out it looks like an error occurred during a follow up restoration that was done at the request of the person who was compromised. This was unfortunately compounded by the e-mail that was sent making it sound like the items were removed because they belonged to someone else.

The matter is under review and we are working to make sure that the proper restoration is provided.
Q u o t e:

Blizzard, do not lie saying you have restored items when you have not.

Blizzard, why do you allow your GMs to steal legitimately obtained items and then lie about it.

RIght now, I am aware of a GM and a GM supervisor that should be fired. Unfortunately, what has happened reflects extremely negatively on Blizzard, its GMs, and its customer service.

Takeo, I understand the frustration that this issue may have caused but statements like this would be why this discussion degenerated very quickly and the others found your information questionable. The initial restoration was performed, as I already stated. So it was not a lie, however, some items were claimed to be missing and on our second pass an error was made which, at the time, seemed to require the removal of items from our point of view.

Our staff is reviewing the matter and will do what they can to straighten this all out.
