Not accepting paypal or credit card.

This is really bugging me. I've been trying all day to do an online upgrade to Wotlk. My account is TBC level.

I just used this credit card to buy time about a week or two ago, worked fine. Now it's telling me that my card number is wrong which I can assure you it's not.

So instead I try making Paypal my payment method. I switch over my main payment method to paypal but find that for some reason it won't let me use paypal for an online upgrade.

Customer support has an hour+ wait time and I really don't feel like sitting on hold so I figured I would come here.

Basically. 1. Why can't I use paypal to do an online upgrade?
2. Why won't it take my totally valid credit card?

Thanks in advance.

PayPal is only available for use on the subscription plans at this time. If you can set up a one time use card number with them though, that may work for the upgrade. As for why it is not taking your card, there are a number of issues, but a common one is a communication issue with the financial institution. If the card is not able to be verified or funds confirmed, the card can bounce back as invalid. No way to be exactly sure without asking the bank directly though. It could also be a browser issue. You could try clearing your cookies and temporary files or getting a different web browser and trying again. If the issue persists though, the best bet would be to call Billing to have them try the card over the phone, or get a retail copy and use the authentication key to upgrade.
