Free Trial - Recruit-A-Friend

I had a question about accounts and upgrading. I have a friend who recently tried the free trial, but I sent him a recruit-a-friend request and when he tried to go through with that it said the email was already in use. Instead, he bought the game and the game keys got applied to the free trial instead of the recruit-a-friend.

My question is, is there any way to transfer those game keys to a recruit-a-friend account tied with mine so we can experience the triple xp and other associated benefits, or is there even a way to change that account into a recruit-a-friend linked to mine? I keep calling blizz support, but it always says that they are busy and cannot accept my call, so this is my last resort. Thanks for your help!

It looks like the Recruit-A-Friend invite sent out did not get used at all. Has your friend created a character yet? If I could have that character name and realm (have him make one if he has not yet!) then I can track down his account and attempt to retroactively link you so you get the benefits of the system :)

I guess you need the character from the other account as well, which would be Vagetassj on Rivendare. That is the trial account that the game keys need to be removed and moved from there to Dudevageta on Rivendare

If your friend wants to try to get refunds for used keys, or licenses moved, he would need to call the Billing department directly to verify his account and see what options may be available to him. I was offering to retroactively link your account to his upgraded account with Recruit-A-Friend benefits. I would not be able to move licenses or anything like that over the forum at the request of someone else. At this point I guess it really comes down to what your friend wants to do so you should talk to him and see what he wants.

Alrighty then, and this account you are posting from is the Recruiter account, correct? Or do you have another account you wanted to be the recruiter?

Ok, the accounts will be retroactively linked, you should see the Recruit-A-Friend abilities appear in game in the near future, as well as your account management page for the service being updated to reflect the link. IF either of you are logged in, make sure you log out for a small bit just so the account has a chance to refresh :)
