Can't realm transfer because of mythical mail

I have been trying to realm transfer for about a week now. Every time I try, I get an error message saying I can't transfer the character because they have unread or inbound mail. The only problem is, I've been waiting 7 days for this "inbound mail" and it has never arrived. I don't have any mail. This is one of my bank alts, so it doesn't really ever even receive mail unless it's from me. Is there some way to get around this particular bug? i opened up a ticket yesterday evening, but I'm still waiting. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone know a way around this?
