Mountain o' Mounts problem & response

I apologize if this issue has been discussed previously. I used the fine forum search feature for about 15 min first, but I could not find an answer.

I have 100 mounts. The Mountain o' Mounts achievement says that I have 99. Here's what has happened recently.

As I hit about 90 mounts on the achievement, I decided to check and noticed that I really had 91. I put in my first of four tickets on the issue. I received a fine response saying that everyone had looked at it, couldn't figure out which one did not count, that the issue had been passed to the development team and they would get back to me when a fix could be made.

This response seemed quite reasonable and effective, so I continued play. I think I finished my Skyguard rep grind at this point, a couple of PvP mounts and I got to 98 mounts. Achievement read "97/100". I decided I'd put in my second ticket. In response to this one, unfortunately, I got the standard Blizzard support playbook response: "reset your user interface." Dutifully, I did this and also removed all add-ons. No dice: no +1 buff to the count of mounts.

So, I decided to put in my third ticket. I think I had gotten the last PvP mount at this point and was at 99 mounts but the achievement only read 98. In my ticket I asked if I should wait before adding another mount, or did they want to give up and not check further into the problem. The response to this ticket was essentially "white flag" (that IS a quote indeed from the ticket response) and would I please get the 100th mount and see if it clicks over correctly anyway.

What the heck. I decided to buy the Celestial Steed (ugh) and see what happens. Bought, received, learned, and in response to finally actually having 100 mounts, the Mountain o' Mounts achievement for me now actually reads.....(drum roll, the tension builds....the height of drama....)

99/100

Sigh. So I put in my FOURTH ticket acknowledging that I suppose I could purchase the Grand Ice Mammoth or even the Tundra Mammoth and get to 101, thus getting to 100 (huh?) But, I asked, did they not want to use this opportunity to correct what probably seemed to be a bug in the game?

In response to this ticket, I got a response which includes the following:

"As a couple classes do receive a class-only mount, it may sometimes be necessary to obtain an extra mount when collecting for the achievements. [sic]"

Huh?? What? First, if true, why didn't the first person who responded and every other responder along the way not know this? Second, I'm a paladin: I have TWO class mounts. Why is the count now not 98/100?? Well, maybe the Charger counts because I got it back when it was really difficult to do.

Anyway, I have 100 mounts, I'm at 99/100 according to the achievement, and I am giving Blizzard this one last chance to either correct a bug in game or else give a thorough explanation as to why one of my mounts does not count (and which one it is, of course.)

Has anyone else had a problem with this achievement? Is anyone else a little confused and perhaps disappointed by the support response I received? Why is there air?

TLDR version: Have 100 mounts, achievement reads 99/100, a little confused & disappointed in the response and support I received when I brought the problem to Blizzard's attention.

Peterpaul, this is only occurring on your paladin, correct? If so, this is an issue of which we are aware. While we're unable to correct the issue on the individual level, we're looking into the case right now and hope to have everything resolved in an upcoming patch.
