Keep doing what you're doing. You can also submit petitions to report these people and their spam. An alternative to in-game petitions is an email to wowgm@blizzard.com. Emails to that address are treated just like an in-game petition, and enter the same queue.

In a dungeon particularly, you could also leave that channel :)

Any important information is likely to be showing up in group or raid.
