Heirloom PVP trinket useless now

I had recently spent a good amount of time saving up 250 shards for a pvp trinket to give to an alt of the other faction. Purchased it, sent it off and realized once it was on my alliance toon, that it would not work for her.

I placed a ticket to see if i could simply get it swapped with it's equivalent simply to be told pretty much to live with it that they couldnt help me with this problem and if i wanted an alliance version, I should have to pay $25 for a faction change (but i'm already a level 35~ alliance). There's plenty of other people who have had this done for them, said it depends if you get a good GM or not.

GM's cant just swap out the item? If this is true, that's pretty screwed up.

I'm afraid this is not a service the Game Master staff is able to provide, Febronia. While most heirlooms are able to be worn by members of both factions, PvP trinkets are faction specific. That doesn't make it useless, though. It may not be as useful if you've decided you no longer wish to play a Horde character, but your Horde characters can still use the trinket. You'll need to purchase an Alliance specific trinket if you want to use this particular type of heirloom on an Alliance character.

What happened to my post? Looks like I may have accidentally deleted it. Regardless, the following is true:

Q u o t e:
Wintergrasp Commendations are not faction specific, Febronia. Accordingly, they should be able to be sent and used by characters of the opposing faction who happen to be on the same account/realm. :)
