I wanted to see how many people were hacked on 4/27/10. I have been reading through the forums and it seems that a lot of people were. I was hacked some time after 4:30 AM eastern on 4/27/10. Whe I tried logging onto to my acct an authenticator was added and email address was comprimised as well.
I am a computer technician so I new to start looking for key loggers, trojans and malware. I scanned my computer in safe mode and normal using Malwarebytes and Spybot. I did an online scan using NOD32 and nothing. I uninstalled Avast and installed Microsofot security esentials nothing. All scan result zero. I have been going over and over how this could have happend. I did not buy any gold and nor did I give my acct info to anyone.
I am however using Cure Client to keep my addons up todate. I wanted to know how may other people were hacked on this day. It has to be a common denominator here. I read one thread where a man and his three kids accts were all hacked on 4/27 in three different states. Did Battle.net get hacked and no one is telling us?
Oh yeah they deleted all of my toons except one and got me banned. My acct has been restored and my toons but none of the items/gear. I logged onto my priest and I am naked. I feel so defeated and strongly considering leaving WoW. Not that Blizz would care they have billions of other people to replace me.
