"Refer a friend" not linking up

I referred a friend and he accepted and started his 10 day trial using the email I sent him. He is not linked to me and I to him. He did it the way the email instructed. What am I to do?

Are you certain that he created the account using the Authentication Key contained within the invitation?

I'm afraid that account you've mentioned was not created using the Recruit-a-Friend key contained within the invitation sent via e-mail. Accordingly, you will need to contact our Billing Department to have this account linked to your own. They can be reached using one of the following numbers:
