Hello, since the account management and phone services are currently closed, I have came here looking to resolve some major concerns I have.

I have received numerous emails this week, 3 or 4 aprox. stating that someone has been trying to retreive my account password. I have also received a confirmed email that is not from blizzard trying to key log my account. The contents of this specfic email is listed below.

Q u o t e:
"When we carry out a routine check when the account, we have evidence to show that your account has been involved in the disputed transactions.
So we have to inform you visit our website( http://xxxxxxxxxxxxx.com ) fill out some information to facilitate our investigation.

If you can not tie in with our soon we will have to temporarily lock your account.

Sincerely,

I have "x"ed out the actual email address to prevent anyone here from accidently going to this website. I know for a fact from other threads that this is NOT an email from Blizzard.

The latest threatening email I have received was either from Blizzard or not is what conerns me the most. The contents will be listed below.

The battle.net link posted in the above email takes me to the password retreival page, which I don't need to do.

When I saw the first password retreival email I immediately changed the password and secret question to the email address registered to my WoW account. I have also done the same with my WoW account login in password, both of which contain very strong variables. I placed a mobile authenticator on my account 2 or 3 months ago, and I feel this may be the only reason why the alleged hackers have not successfully taken my account over.

My next concern is, that the last paragraph the above email states NOT to modify my account information now. Since all this has occured, I REALLY want to register a new, more secure email address to my WoW/Battle.net account. Can I do this, or do I need to wait this out over the weekend and call Blizzard via phone to sort this out. I still currently have access to my account, I can log in and play my characters. AS far as if the 3 hour suspension ever occured, I have no idea, since I work mon thru fri during the time of the alleged suspension. In one of the emails, it had seemed like the main concern was that I was trying to sell my account(not the case, I love this game, and have been playing since release in 2004).

I currently own 3 accounts, my wive's, my uncle's, and this one here, which is my own and most prized account. I stumbled across this because I do not check my email that often. Can I change my email immediately on my own account? Also, the reason why I checked my email is because I am considering opening a 4th account for my brother that moved to Philadelpha a couple years ago, and lived with me beforehand(he played on my account) He has a character on my account that belonged to him, and I was considering making the new account under my own information, and doing a paid transfer of the character to said account, so we can start playing WoW together again (which I am pretty excited about). With all these new issues coming to light, I am now somewhat reserved in doing this until I can secure my account. Being that my account is protected by an Authenticator that only I have access to, is it safe for me to change my email address on my account, to completely cut off these hackers, so that nobody knows any of my account info/logins except my wife/family and my brother?

The latest e-mail you received is also fake, Krunked; please feel free to disregard its mandates. Not only can you create a new e-mail address and link it to your Battle.net account, I encourage you to do so! Please take a few moments to review the following thread for more information on how to spot these malicious e-mails and prevent yourself from receiving them:
