Second Account

Alright, so, second time posting on the forums now, I was redirected to customer service instead of technical support. Still lost though. I suck at searching for anything, especially on forums, I just never seem to find what I'm looking for so I apologize if this question has been beaten to death.

This is what I'm trying to accomplish. I'd like to create a second account and ultimately transfer a character to it. Do I have to purchase all three copies of WoW (Original, BC, WotLK) and pay to start the subscription in order to start up a second account? Or is there an easier route? I've heard mention of Rrecruit-A-Friend but I don't understand the details. Is there a way to simply purchase a second subscription for the same account and just go back and forth between them?

Alright, well, hopefully someone can help, I apologize again if this is considered common knowledge. I'd appreciate any help but some comprehensive information about the entire subject is mostly what I'm looking for.

We had many players asking why they were not eligible for the RaF benefits shortly after the new program was introduced, Joedangerous. The date that you linked- 08/05/08- is merely stating that the RaF link must have been initiated after that period for the accounts to be eligible; not that the veteran account needed to be created after that date.

Also, yes, you are more than welcome to “recruit” yourself, and create a second account for yourself, if you would like. You should be able to log into the Account Management page and send yourself the e-mail there: (https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/recruit-a-friend.html).

To answer your question about the Paid Character Transfer: To be eligible to transfer a character from your existing account to an alternate account that second account must be A) registered to you, and B) at the same box level that that your current account is at-which is Wrath of the Lich King in this case.

Q u o t e:
Oh, just one last thing.
Q u o t e:
A) registered to you

It's been a few years since I've created an account so what sort of information has to be the same in order for both accounts to be registered to me? I've changed my address so I just want to make sure everything is accurate for both.

The names registered to both accounts must be yours. This is because we do not support the transfer of characters between friends, guild mates, or family members. :0)
