Stuck in a Raid Group, get me out!

At approx 12 pm CST I was in Wintergrasp while Wintergrasp was happening. I was in a Catapult & the game totally froze up so I killed the WoW process via the task manager. When I rebooted the program I was in the raid but was getting the same message "You are not in a raid". However I was seeing people in the raid.
I tried to leave the raid group at the end and nothing happened so I rebooted the game and everything seemed fine for about 10 minutes then out of the blue I'm back in the raid group with several of the people that were in the raid group during that Wintergrasp session. Again getting the message "You are not in a raid" and being unable to leave the raid group I was obviously in. I tried the prompt as directed on a post /script LeaveParty() but again nothing. Joined a party with someone, turned it into a raid & left the raid group.

Turned off the game, rebooted my computer, logged back into the game. Again things seemed fine, ran a couple of heroics and then got to h OK before the 2nd boss & I got the little box that says "Your not in this party & will....blah blah...to the nearest Graveyard" and that's exactly what happened.
Walked back to the instance got back to the boss & the same thing happened >.<. Walked back again and it seemed fine, we were able to complete the instance.

Afterward I turned off the game (again) rebooted my computer (again) tried turning off addons, etc etc etc and logged back in. Everything seemed fine UNTIL I just tried to tank H VH. Got to the 2nd pull and the same "You are not in this party and will be teleported to the nearest Graveyard".

I will mention that the time between the Heroic Old Kingdoms run and the Heroic Violet Hold run was 2 hours. Now I'm concerned to try to really get into anything else, being prot is my os and holy is my ms...suppose groups wouldn't appreciate losing either one in the middle of a run.

And...while surfing for anymore like issues with hopeful solutions I look back in the game and surprise surprise I'm in that raid group again *kick the dirt*

*sigh* well that's it in a nutshell..

It is now 9:45 pm CST and I have yet to be able to contact a GM and yes its still happening. I'll log out, log in and within 10-15 minutes max I'm back in the same raid group while getting a message spamming my screen "You are not in a raid group".

OP, a work around for this issue so far has been to have someone else invite you to a group and decline the invite when you get it. It somehow triggers the game into realizing you arent in the raid group any more.

That is a mighty good suggestion. Could you give it a try, Caitie, and let us know.

Well so far its good but I had be able to actually do a heroic or 2 before I got sucked back into the raid group, not sure whats triggering it to happen but it must be associated to some event on the server.

Anyway trust me, if it happens again, I'll be back but ty for the suggestion and hopeful fix.

Please let us know one way or another, Caitie, if it doesn't work we can look for other options if it does that will help us to help others.

Can you try something for me, Jazz? Have another player invite you to a group, but instead of accepting the invitation, press "decline." This workaround has been known to resolve the issue for a few different people. Give this a shot and let us know the results so that we can assist you further if necessary!
