Thanks Auryk!

A very brief background.... Since before WoW’s launch, I’ve been assisting players on the phones, via email, and even in the original Battle.net support channel. I am honored, excited (and a little bit intimidated) to join our veteran posters here on the CS Forum -- and start learning the ropes.

Howdy, Arrestide!

Sorry that I can't stay for the welcoming party, but it'll be great working alongside you here on the CSF!

Edit: In before, "what's your avatar going to be?!" ;)

Q u o t e:
When do you get unfrozen??

It is cold in this cube, but at least I have an awesome logo so I stay stylish.

My avatar hopefully will be here soon. As a fervent anti-Undead activist, I was originally considering some sort of righteous Retadin imagery.... but that doesn't really suit a customer-service image, so expect to see something a little more, well, Holy-spec. =)

A new name I am now going to have to memorize how to spell (and pronounce terribly). =)

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

While you are free to pronounce it however you see fit, the intent was "AIR-is-tide." =)

*offers fudge instead, big huge vats of fudge that gnomes are invited to jump in and swim about*

*posts sign* Free gnomey fudge!

And, just caught something from earlier - Arrestide is not Trainee? Well, then. An extra welcome.

Gnomes in the fudge? What manner of lunacy is this? Unsanitary! =)

I'm definitely a trainee in spirit. You won't see me posting as much as the established veterans, at least not for a little while. My primary goal for now is to listen carefully and avoid stepping on toes (or fudge-covered gnomes). Eventually, I hope to contribute to the candor and perspective that characterize the best work of this forum.

From your previous comments, it appears you have experience in the Billing AND the GM side of the house. However, I don't remember anyone saying which role you'll be fulfilling here on the forums...

My experience at Blizzard actually started out in Tech Support, back when Diablo II was our biggest call generator. Shortly before we collected our first subscription payments for World of Warcraft, I'd joined our Billing & Account Services group. I've never been an official GM, although I've collaborated pretty closely with that team over the years.

More to your implicit question: I'm here to see our Forum team and awesome CSF community in action, and get some firsthand experience in this side of Blizzard's CS work. I have a personal and professional interest in the voice of our players, which is why I often lurk rather than post. I will occasionally show up if I have some perspective to provide...

...or maybe when we want to get some helpful feedback. Shameless plug? =)
