Problems with guild recruitment chat

I have been told that our guild memebers have to use the Guild Recruitment chat in order to recruit guild members, but so far I have been unable to access this chat. I have opened 3 tickets online, but I never actually got to talk to a gm and the form letters I received didn't really solve my problem.

I was told to /resetchat and then /leave Guild Recruitment and then /join Guild Recruitment. When I do this I am asked for a password for 'guilds". I received another email telling me how to leave/join all the standard chats, but guild recruitment was not listed as one of them. I also tried /join GR which seemed to open a private channel with just me and my guildmate I asked to get on it. All my other chats are working normally and I can open a custom channel.

Before I start deleting all my add-ons, macros, etc. which they said was the next step, I'd like to know if there really is a guild recruitment channel and if so, do I need a password or is there some other trick to access it? I really don't want to delete everything and then reinstall it.

You may join the Guild Recruitment channel by typing "/join guildrecruitment," Gwenllian. Please be aware, however, that (like Trade Chat) you must be in a major city to participate and view this chat channel.

Posting guild recruitment messages in the General Chat channel is not in violation of our policies, Gwen, but I encourage you to remain respectful of your fellow players and avoid posting these messages often and repeatedly. :)
