WotLK acc 70 transfer to bc acc possible?

Is it possible to transfer my level 70 hunter Kasdey to a seperate account? i recently set up the account using recruit a friend with my same details to make sure i can. The website is saying that i cannot do this, however i have heard rumors that it IS possible.

Any help reguarding this issue would be greatly beneficial.

If the character is made with a WotLK account, it can't be downgraded and sent to a BC account. The opposite is possible, however.

Regarding transfers - you can go to an account that is equal level on expansions, or forward, but not backwards.
