Last night both my WoW accounts on my battle.net account were hacked and authenticated.I have already tried emailing costumer support/billing and received the automated response with no further follow up so far.I have repeatedly called customer service in a attempt to get this issue resolved and am faced with a High volume of calls message. I noticed several other people on the first page of this forum are experiencing this same issue, one in particular got a response from a moderator that managed to remove the authenticator, reset the password and then email the pertinent information to the victim.

I would appreciate if i could have the same service provided to me if at all possible.

Thank You for any assistance I may receive.

i play with this guy, ahve not seen his toons on his it was hacked, hard core part is i was playing with him when he got repeadly d/ced and then his account had ann authenactor hooked up too it.... Lame blizz you really need to do something to increase account security. Maybe add an option where instead of typing in the account name/paswword at the log in, have an optional in game keyboard that can pop up to allow a player to you his mouse to select his letters/numbers... Do soemthing blizz, your gonna loose customers if you don't...

Our security is fine Bubble, to place an authenticator, a thief has to already have the password and ID to the account. I'm afraid it's the player's security that allows this to get out.

We have done much to educate our players on good security practices and the authenticator itself is a security measure on it's own.

It is imperative that the source of this be found Errore, I see you don't mention that. If they CAN get back in, this WILL happen all over again. Sadly, that you can count on.

I've manage to get this removed for you - but please, please do find the way they obtained your password and ID. I'm posting full instructions below, at this point - this is likely going to be a matter of an investigation for damages.

-----------------------

If an account has been merged to a Battle.net, or if an email has been changed, or an authenticator added to the account (not the player's own) one of your first stops is going to be Billing. They need to get those sorted out first so the rest of the processes can continue.

Billing and Account Services
Phone Support - 1 (800) 59-BLIZZ (1 (800) 592 5499)
Live Representatives Available 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm Pacific Time
E-mail Support - [email protected]
Players in Australia should call 1-800-041-378
Players in Singapore should call 800-2549-9273
Players in Chile should call 1230-020-5554
Players in Mexico should call 001-888-578-7628
Players in Argentina should call 0800-333-0778
All other international players should call: (949) 955-0283

Now, it's very very important to figure out where the security breach occurred. If they CAN get back in, they WILL be back. That, unfortunately, you can count on.

These two stickies should prove helpful.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.
