Q u o t e:
I recently faction changed to Dwarf, and saw a post by Loincloth he had done the same a while back: I wanted my bow to be turned into a gun (exchanged per se), however, despite the fact that Loincloth claimed to have had his bow exchanged for a gun, Blizzard refuses to exchange my bow for a gun, regardless of the fact that I just handed them 55 dollars. I have no clue why they wouldn't exchange it, since they have the power to. I would really appreciate the few moments it would take to just exchange my bow for a gun. Thank you in advance if you do decide to carry out the exchange, if you do not...I can only say that I will be severly disappointed in the service that I receive after parting with that sum of coin as I did.
Actually, exchanging weapons of this sort in response to a faction change is not something that our staff is typically in a position to do. While we're happy to offer some pretty amazing options in the form of our various services, the reward for purchasing a faction change, or any other service for that matter, are the benefits one receives from the service itself.
Many other players exchange races and factions, but we are not in a position to swap gear around in response to a new race, faction, spec or play-style decision. I'm afraid that a singular, unconfirmed and isolated case, the particulars of which may have been misunderstood, is not a license to request this kind of exchange, nor would it be particularly equitable to other players who also have purchased race or faction changes without receiving such a swap.
It is possible that this player received a weapon exchange as a result of purchasing an Arena weapon, and requesting a reimbursement for the arena points spent on it which would be a wholly different situation. In either case, I'm very interested in seeing the thread in question, and while cross-linking is normally prohibited, I'd like to ask that you link it so I can have a look.
