Digital Purchases from an APO / FPO Address

Is there a reason why players on US realms are unable to purchase digital downloads from the Blizzard Store (e.g. pets, mounts, play time) simply because their credit card has an FPO or APO address? Yet, Blizzard is more than happy to accept my monthly payment on the same credit card at the same address. This is a bit frustrating, especially for "limited" availability items.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation may be causing any of you. I assure you that it is not our intent to prevent our legitimate players from being able to utilize our Online Store.

In this case, if you are encountering an error message that we were unable to process your transaction, and you believe that it is due to your current location, then I ask that you please continue your attempts to contact our Billing department by phone so that we may attempt to help you with placing that order.

As you may have already guessed, there is a lot of excitement flying around with the recent announcement of these new pets, and as a result our Billing and Account Services department is currently receiving even more inquiries than normal. I ask you for your patience in your attempts to contact us as we are doing all that we can to help all of our players as quickly and as accurately as possible.
