Nice cash cow you've found here, Blizzard

Personally, I think this trend toward selling pets and mounts for real-life currency is incredibly disturbing.

This is a fantasy game. Its not supposed to mirror real-life. You're introducing a new, unwelcome feeling - one of being favored or snubbed because of a real life financial situation.

Why not at least give other players the POSSIBILITY of attaining these items, through some test of skill or dedication? Why are they *only* for people who pay you more than you already charge each month?

You already generate a healthy profit from subscriptions alone. The corporate greed is sickening. The mentality of people buying into it is even more disgusting. What is next...?

As I stated in a similar thread. Vanity pets and mounts have been available for awhile now through the World of Warcraft TCG.

If you believe such an option should be available, Burgle, you are welcome to post such an idea in the Suggestion forum. Special items have always been a part of World of Warcraft and this trend will likely continue. It started with the first World of Warcraft Collector's Edition. This isn't a new trend, Burgle.

Interesting, perhaps we should do this with all aspects of life. If someone were to follow you around how do you think you would feel if they arbitrarily determined when you earned enough money? Should someone also determine what you spend your money on?

Silly isn't it?

The term "corporate greed" is really bandied about far too often and a true understanding of what that term means is often lost in the hyperbolic rhetoric.

If you wish to provide your views regarding our services, Burgle, you are welcome to post in the Suggestion forum where our Developers and policy makers can review your feedback.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion though it important to note that although members of the Game Master department may appreciate your opinions, posting them here doesn't affect anything. We address in-game issues. If you have a question about a possible restoration or are having an issue with a quest we may be able to help but feedback on what may or may not be available is not appropriate for this forum. Feedback is appropriate to the Suggestion forum.

I'm afraid these threads tend to degenerate quickly so I'm going to lock it now.
