And no, not because of the Polymorph immunity. When I made my Druid in Vanilla I made it because of what I considered the amazing coolness of shifting forms meaning changes in viability. And we've seen that expanded to Boomkin and then finally Tree of Life, all of which I think is very important for the Druid.
However, I also think the Tree Form is kinda silly. But we already have another form to work off of -- Shadow Form. Wouldn't it be cool that Druids instead get a Shadow Form-like shapeshift without the Polymorph immunity (to keep the PvP change) that merely wraps your character in vines, leaves, and barbs and called"Tree of Life", except in this case it's not just a revamp of the Ent/Treant model.
You can still look at all the coolness of your character, it would still be a shapeshift for purposes of removing snares, but you would no longer be an Elemental and no longer be immune to Polymorph.
Here I see the best of both worlds -- Tree of Life will look different for all characters because it's just an aura around your regular look, maybe with a greenish tint. You will no longer be Polymorph immune in the form, but not Banishable either.
Another fun change while in the form would be ONE of the following:
- Damage done decreased by 50%. (or)
- Casting time for direct and periodic damage spells increased by 1 second. (or)
- Arcane Damage spells unavailable. (or)
Not all of these, just one of these would help balance out the form's increase to healing.
