Hello, My Wrathful gladiator gear and PvP trinket aren't registering as actual items that I own. This has been going on for a few days now and I have been completely unable to contact an In-game GM. The problem has even affected my Character Aspex-Blackwater Raiders. Today I transfered my rogue (Cah, the character I'm posting on) and the problem following me to my new server. My name there is Absants-Blackwater Raiders. It's rendered me unable to use my WRathful mutilator and PvP trinket. PLEASE help.

Let us know! Sometimes the strangest things happen with addons.

Isn't that the truth? :D

Hang on a moment, Cah.

Can you describe exactly what is going on. Include the name of the items and what is or is not happening regarding them. Honestly this sounds like a UI issue or even an issue with a corrupted or missing file but let's make sure before we take additional steps.

Also, different operating systems sometimes require slightly different methods to reset the UI. You should be able to find your particular directions in the following support article.

You may be having an issue with a missing or corrupted file. I should be able to check if you could log out of your character for me. Let me know when you have done that and I'll take a look.

Alright, I logged out of him.

Alright. I was able to equip and apply the poison without any issues so it certainly appears to be a file issue. Can you try running the repair tool? It should be the Repair.exe program located in your worldofwarcraft directory.

That will go through your files and make sure all of them are up to date, correcting, creating or replacing any that are missing or out of place.

If you don't see it you can pick it up here: http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/WoW/other/Repair.zip

/sigh

The Blizzard Repair Tool didn't work either. Should I reinstall the game?

Are you on Vista or Windows 7, Cah?

Please be absolutely certain you followed this part of the directions I linked earlier. As I understand it, if you have that option enabled it may save your files essentially nullifying your reset.

-If the UAC is enabled, which it is by default, then the system will also be caching these three folders. Near the navigation bar, please click on the link for "Compatibility Files". Once "Compatibility Files" has been clicked, this will take you to the VirtualStore folder. Please check if there is a World of Warcraft folder(usually located in the programs folder), and if so please delete the three folders WTF, Cache and Interface from this location as well.

But..I don't think my brain is capable of fixing it! So I shall just reinstall!

Hehe, that's why I am friends with computer literate people. I make dinner and they fix my computer. :D
