Keep in mind we're accommodating our community counterparts and fans in other regions by releasing these previews at various times each day and night. We do this so players in Europe, Korea, etc. aren't always getting their previews at extremely odd hours. With a global playerbase comes global release times for hot topics. ;)

Hawaiian players will likely still be drinking Mai Tais when reading cool new stuffs about priests.

Is there a reason to be secretive about the time the updates will be released?

We need to ensure all of our regions have the information localized and ready to go so we can hit a single global release time. It's the way any big news post or preview has ever been published. Most of you just haven't ever noticed because we typically haven't given advanced warning with dates attached. We're still not going to attach times though because we need to make sure every region has the green light.

That's why I told you the posting times for each preview would span the majority of the 24-hour day. It's a courtesy to provide our other regions with better local posting times so the feedback, debate and discussion isn't always dominant first in the U.S. It's one of the many ways we keep a global perspective on all of the things we do here at Blizzard Entertainment.

Im kinda curious when you guys do stuff like this do you go home and post this or are you still at work doing this?

If it's just a forum post, we can make it from home.

So releasing two classes like back to back, then waiting like 12 hours for the other class seemed like a good idea instead of spacing them out over the 24 hour period? Really?

:\

The first two previews were not supposed to be released so close together, but due to unforeseen circumstances, had to be. That's about all I have to say about that.

You realize this is a video game right brah?

your not exactly releasing (or withholding) top-seceret information here... your talking about a few changes to a single class that will probably be modifed alot before Cata goes live anyway.

Should have just posted all of it at noon this afternoon and been done with it...

It is a video game indeed! I suggest letting us serve our global gaming community and post the previews when they're ready to go worldwide.

Is the wait so bad? You realize this is a video game right brah? :p

It's 11am, thursday the *8th* in Hong Kong right now. Priest was supposed to be on the 7th? Right? So are you "accomodating" your non-Western playerbase by telling them things will be done 24 to 36 hours *LATER* than you tell everyone else?

I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at. I'll just say that whenever we release times or dates for releases on our North American websites, forums, or game client, we base it off of pacific time unless we state otherwise.

Anyway, words aren't going to make the preview arrive more quickly, unless it's considered a legitimate passage of time to express frustration and lack of patience on the forums until it's posted. Either way, I've clarified our reasons as many ways as I can. I hope you all enjoy the upcoming preview. :)

We're past impatience for the priest preview and just venting about the sub-par state-of-affairs with the public relations department. Even if they release the priest info, it's damaged our trust that any of the other promised dates are going to be met on time.

It's still the 7th, my friend. I take it you're ready...

Yay, and it's up! And it is still the 7th. I am 100% certain all the posters talking about how you were going to miss the date will come back and apologize humbly.

It doesn't even matter because this post made me lol:

So the blue that was arguing with you all in this forum is the guy that posts the changes? So he was just some guy sitting at home griefing us til the last sec, then he posts it at the last second as if to say "told you so!'

What kind of a chicken scratch operation are you running here?

I assure you it wasn't my call to make. Had I posted any sooner, I would be tarred and feathered at work tomorrow. It's a morale booster for all employees (except for the guy receiving the punishment).
