Hello! Recently I participated in the recruit-a-friend program. I hit 60 and would like to transfer this character to my main account that already has Wrath of the Lich King. So I don't have to spend any more money. I purchased a regular account for 19.99 and upgraded to Burning Crusade for 29.99.

When I go to transfer my character, I select the realm and destination account. But I keep getting an error.

"This character cannot transfer to other Battle.net accounts until a 30-day waiting period has elapsed. You will be eligible to make this transfer on 05/05/2010 "

Do I really have to wait 30 days to transfer this character to my main battlenet account?

If you are attempting to transfer a character to a World of Warcraft that is attached to a different Battle.net account then you will indeed need to wait for 30 day period. That said, there is no such restriction for transferring characters between World of Warcraft accounts that are attached to the same Battle.net account.

If you would like to see about placing both World of Warcraft accounts onto the same Battle.net account, then please feel free to contact our Billing and Account Services department at your earliest convenience for assistance. Please note that I cannot guarantee that this option will be available, but we will be happy to help to the best of our abilities.
