Does Blizzard permit the transfer of heirloom items between accounts within the same Battlenet Account?

I have 2 accounts (same owner -- name, address, etc.,) under a single Battlenet account and would like to transfer Heirloom items between characters in these two accounts.

Thanks, in advance

While heirloom items can be mailed cross-faction, they cannot currently be mailed cross-realm or cross-account. In order to transfer an heirloom item to another character using the mailing system, that character must be on the same realm and the same WoW account as the current holder.

Here's a notable update, though:

Q. Are there any plans to implement cross-faction/cross-realm mail(for BoA gear and such)?
A. We have cross-faction mail for BoA items now; cross-realm is a work in progress, but we hope to have it done “soon."

Now, there is a sort of an interim workaround that many players choose to use. You can transfer a character with heirloom items in its inventory from one WoW account to another (and/or from one realm to another). The heirloom items will remain in the character's inventory and then can be distributed to other qualifying characters on the destination realm and/or WoW account. This is not a supported practice, but, for many players, it has proven useful.
