Brainfreeze Procs too bursty?

BF proccing off of instant FFB is pretty stupid, the internal cooldown solution isn't a very good one. I just wait 2 seconds before using the proc, which just happens to be about the same amount of time it takes me to Frostbolt. Raising the ICD doesn't seem like a very good solution either, because we can just wait a bit longer before using the BF proc and get the same result.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to disallow FFB from proccing Brain Freeze, because there are currently no viable Frost builds that use FFB as a main nuke. If this reduces PvE DPS too much, then raising BF's proc rate to 20% might be necessary, but I doubt it.

I doubt they'd make that change because it would neuter FFB as a main nuke for a frost heavy build (even though nobody does this). I just don't think they have the technology to make it so that only instant FFBs can't proc BF.

We are going to change it (or perhaps already did judging from some of these posts) that Frostfire Bolt can't proc Brain Freeze.

It's not an ideal solution for some of the reasons that you guys have been mentioned. However technically we don't have the ability to start the internal cooldown on use instead of when the proc is gained. It's possible to get the code changed, but that means it's unlikely something we could hotfix in. Long-term we'll look into a solution that isn't so mean to Frostfire Bolt.
