My friend's account has just gotten hacked and i am trying to help him retrieve his account back ASAP.

That's the number I have Wala.

Are you trying to use a cellphone or land line?

Also, Billing isn't open at the moment, they are open 8 to 8 Pacific Time, It's not quite one in the morning there now.

Also, there is a very limited benefit of your calling for an account that isn't yours, Billing is not going to be able to help anyone but the account holder.

You might also look into a program such as Skype. Many of our international players speak highly of that. (949) 955-0283 is another number you could try with such a program.

Your friend needs to be the one contacting Billing.

Q u o t e:
Ok thank you for the blue note but can you at least check my friend's account? see if you can help out in anyway? guildies are noticing that his toons are currently posting on trade channel on the purchase of primadorial saronite and seems like trading them to a lvl one orc warrior bookz. Can you please look into this? The hacker is continuously rotating among my friend's toon. thank you

The damage is likely already done, and promptly reported - most damages can usually be reversed.

Your friend's first priority needs to be security and getting back into control of his account.

We really need to hear from him to know this has been done or this WILL happen again. If you could pass the information below onto him, it should be most of what he needs to know.

-------------------------------------

If an account has been merged to a Battle.net, or if an email has been changed, or an authenticator added to the account (not the player's own) one of your first stops is going to be Billing. They need to get those sorted out first so the rest of the processes can continue.

Billing and Account Services
Phone Support - 1 (800) 59-BLIZZ (1 (800) 592 5499)
Live Representatives Available 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm Pacific Time
E-mail Support - [email protected]
Players in Australia should call 1-800-041-378
Players in Singapore should call 800-2549-9273
Players in Chile should call 1230-020-5554
Players in Mexico should call 001-888-578-7628
Players in Argentina should call 0800-333-0778
All other international players should call: (949) 955-0283

Now, it's very very important to figure out where the security breach occurred. If they CAN get back in, they WILL be back. That, unfortunately, you can count on.

These two stickies should prove helpful.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.
