Not every player that you come across in a LFD will have multiple 80s who downed the LK and know everything that there is to know about WoW. Not everyone knows about Wowhead, Wowwiki, EJ, etc. As crazy as it sounds, there are new players signing up to play WoW everyday.

Yelling, "WTF is up with your DPS NUB!" does nothing but cause negativity and poor game play. Just saying something simple like, "Hey *insert class*, you don't have your *aspect/aura/etc* up. That will help your DPS" is infinitely more helpful than turning into some raging frothing at the mouth troll beast.

If a player seems lost, help them! It doesn't take much and wouldn't you rather fix nubbishness in the bud rather than letting it fester so when they hit 80 they will actually at least somewhat know how to play their class?

The lowbie you help today will someday be the 80 you group with later :)

The only addition I would have is to try not to bludgeon people with your good advice. There is a good way to give advice and aid and a bad way. Pride is a wonderful thing but can get in the way of communicating well if there is too much on one side or another and bruising someone's pride isn't a great communication plan.

I was only new in the original beta so I am special and different and deserve to sit on a higher perch than everybody else. Now don't tell me that line didn't stink of sarcasm, I won't believe you.

While I may laugh a bit at some of the questions/comments/actions that I see, I tend to leave that part out of my reply and try to help out. It's not a big deal to help when it takes a whopping 30 seconds to say something or answer a question.

I have had an experience though when I told someone a way they could improve and they went off on me and tried to kick me (the kick didn't go through as the others agreed with me), so I think it's also important for people to try and not take advice from others personally.
